Christie Jones Lawrence wins 2020 Southern Public Relations Federation Lantern Award

Christie Jones Lawrence, MSU lecturer and president of Surge Advisors, won a 2020 Lantern Award from the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) for her entry in the T2: Short Term // Community Relations & Public category. The winning project was the first-ever Employer Health & Wellness Resource Fair held in the Golden Triangle area at East Mississippi Community College's new Communiversity. The wellness fair featured 50 medical related exhibitors and more than 50 participants. Mrs. Lawrence coordinated the event and recruited the following host organizations: Mississippi Business Group on Health, Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce, Greater Starkville Partnership, West Point Clay Country Growth Alliance, Golden Triangle Human Resource Association, Mississippi State Employee Wellness, and East Mississippi Community College.
